Surreal Creamery Brings Unique, Instagrammable Sweets to Kips Bay

 

 

Surreal Creamery, an ice cream and bubble tea shop, has arrived in Kips Bay just in time to beat the summer heat.

Located at 538 Second Ave. in Manhattan, the shop features soft serve flavors like Taro, Earl Grey and Vietnamese Coffee, along with its famous "Floatees," a delicious combo of bubble tea and topped with soft serve.

This is the second location of Surreal Creamery, which launched in 2018 in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

The Kips Bay shop opened on June 5 and is already proving to be a neighborhood favorite.

"These drinks were sent from heaven and just in time for the summer," Ally W. wrote on Yelp.

"With flavors like ube+matcha swirl or brown sugar boba milk tea with earl grey soft serve, they have the kind of flavor drops that make sugar fiends like me tick," gushed Morlene C.

 

The shop is taking safety precautions, with a plexiglass guard separating cashier from customer, a big bottle of hand sanitizer by the register, and a requirement that everyone inside must wear a mask.
