Kips Bay is your oyster—for wine and oyster cravings, that is, thanks to a new restaurant that just opened its doors just steps from Kips Bay Court.  Ostrica Wine and Oyster Bar is owned by husband-and-wife duo Kristen and Mike Vassallo, who live in the neighborhood themselves. 

 

 

Touting what they call “true ocean to table dining,” Ostrica’s seafood selection is extensive, ranging from East and West Coast oysters, crab, and lobster to ceviche and tartar. For those not into seafood, Ostrica offers a full menu of sandwiches, salads, and vegetables for all palates. 

We’d be remiss not to mention their impressive wine and cocktail selections, which you can peruse during their daily happy hour, either inside or on the patio.
